Organizing Workshops

Organizing Tip of the Month:

February, 2010:  Empty the contents of your Email Inbox and start fresh!  Don’t worry; I’m not going to make you delete them.  Create a folder called “Archive” and transfer the contents of your Inbox to the Archive.  Your challenge now is to treat your Inbox as your To Do List.  Once you’ve read an email, delete it or file it.  If it’s an Action Item, complete the task, then delete it or file it.  You can go back to the Archive emails periodically to continue the filing/deleting process.  If you wait a few months, you’ll be very surprised by how infrequently you actually need to refer back to them.

I started doing this a few weeks ago and LOVE the look of my new, spacious Inbox. Good luck!

For those of you who like to recycle their gently used clothing, books, computer equipment, etc. into the community but don't always know where to bring these items, we've compiled a list of places that will take your "stuff" off your hands!  From appliances to eye glasses and cork to packing peanuts, we've got it here.  The list is alphabetical by item type with a complete directory of donation sites and contact information at the end.  Also included is information on how to dispose of tires, paint, and other hazardous materials.
